Electrodeionization
At the heart of the purification process
Consistent water quality is essential to guarantee the results from clinical analyzer systems. Millipore has incorporated this key element into the water purification design process.
- The water feeding the Elix module is RO water
- Water is further purified by ion exchange resins
- The combination of RO and EDI provides consistency in the water quality
- The Elix module uses a low power electrical field, and a series of ion-exchange resins, and ion selective membranes to deionize water continuously
- The Elix module is self-generating and no resin change or sanitization is required. The Elix module lasts for several years
