The Bioprocess Division enables pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to optimize their manufacturing productivity, ensure the quality of drugs, and scale up the production of difficult-to-manufacture biologics.
The Bioscience Division helps to optimize laboratory productivity and workflows by providing reagents, kits and other enabling technologies and products for life science research and development.
In Cork, we manufacture micro-porous membranes that are used in both Divisions. We also manufacture all the life science devices (or bioTools) for the Bioscience division.
Established in 1988, Millipore Ireland today manufactures filtration devices and plastic membrane films which are used in a wide range of critical applications requiring precision filtration and purification. Our products sterilise drug solutions, test beverages for purity, filter IV fluids in patient care and are used in hundreds of other applications in such industry sectors including Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology.
The plant is located on a 38 acre site at Carrigtwohill, County Cork. The main activities at the site include membrane casting, plastic injection moulding and the assembly of small-area filtration devices.
Millipore Ireland continues to develop as a centre of excellence within the Millipore Corporation and is well recognized for its Membrane and Device knowledge.
