Membrane-Based Cell Culture
We support cell culture with a large family of new and innovative membrane-based products and protocols. Our Millicell plates offer numerous technical advantages over traditional, solid-bottom plastic plates, especially for epithelial and endothelial cells. With solid bottom plastic tissue culture plates, cells can only access media from their apical side. Millicell microporous inserts nurture cells in a three dimensional environment, resulting in cell morphology that mimics in vivo growth.
Our products range from single well standing and hanging inserts to 24 and 96-well cell culture systems for greater flexibility in the lab. You can also choose from numerous membrane types, from those that offer low protein binding to others that allow cell attachment without ECM coating.
We provide protocols for monolayer integrity and drug transport, organotypic work, co-culture stem cells and in vitro toxicology, offering you complete solutions for your cell culture research needs.
