Choosing the Right Membrane
Durapore PVDF filters are available in a variety of pore sizes and formats, offering outstanding flow rates, throughput, thermal and hydraulic stress and the lowest protein binding capacity of any membrane. Millipore Express PES filters provide broad chemical compatibility and exceptionally high flow rates for solutions at the high and low range of pH, 1 – 14. Millipore Express SHC filters are designed for use across a range of moderate to high fouling solutions. Millipore Express SHF filters provide fast, efficient and economical sterile buffer filtration, while Millipore Express SHR filters offer exceptionally high retention and protection against mycoplasma contamination.
Choosing the Right Format
Cartridge Filters
Millidisk hydrophobic cartridges are well-suited for applications where particle shedding is a concern. Millidisk filters are available in sizes ranging from 500 cm2 to 2,000 cm2, providing low hold-up volume and scalability. Optiseal cartridge filters incorporate a unique sealing mechanism to maximize sterility assurance, improve sterilizability and add greater safety during thermal stress.
Capsule Filters
OptiScale capsules provide a disposable easy-to-use device for small-scale screening. Ideal for process development, optimization, and validation. Millipak disposable staked disc filters are designed for the removal of particles and microorganisms. The stacked disc design allows minimal hold-up volume and particle shedding, making them ideal for the most critical filter applications. Opticap disposable capsules emphasize sterility assurance, ease-of-use and safety. Their unique design allows for unparalleled thermal and hydraulic resistance in a disposable filter.
